I use tasks to override almost all of ADRIFT's built in functions (open / close / lock doors, object states, etc.). It gives you more control over the details and prevents ADRIFT's little quirks from showing up. And to Duncan - Although they need not be binary opposites, they can only have 2 states...

Well you start either micro or macro and work towards the opposite. What that means is: When designing micro to macro you begin with a seed, perhaps a sentence or a simple idea, and the story grows and is shaped as it is written. This way tends to be easier when dealing with additional problems (su...

Anybody planning on releasing other versions of the odd comp games? I know that A Witch Tale is getting a major overhaul! I think that some of the worlds and characters that were created deserve a bigger and better representation. In particular, something about Gorxungula's Curse has been nagging m...

I'd have to say Firefox is king, but the latest versions have been a little shaky. Never going back to IE, though! It might be the great big PM machine itself- My 'sent' folder is always empty (which is a blatant lie) and there seems to be a fair amount of slugginess to the whole system, but that m...

A free can of Doc P to go with my new ADRIFT 5? Sounds good. And to Milestyle- is your interest in IF purely outward looking in, or have you written some yourself? If the writing is as engaging as your post I'd happily play your games if only I knew what they were (a search at Delron didn't reveal ...

I've played a bit of A Date With Death and downloaded the other ADRIFT entry, but I mainly play ADRIFT games. I'm sure I'm missing out on the bulk of good adventures this way... I really should get started playing games made on other systems! This is really my first year with ADRIFT and IF altogeth...
