Thanks for the answers folks. I tried 4.0 and liked it but held off on purchasing until 5.0 came out. I have been waiting for 5.0 for over a year now. I didn't know there was an official site. I am learning .NET through Visual Studio and am now more interested in the project because of that. I am a...

A guy walks into a pet store and was looking at the animals on display. While he was there, an engineer from the local airport walked in and said to the shopkeeper, "I'd like a Line Service monkey, please." The clerk nodded, went to a cage at the side of the store and took out a monkey. He put a co...

Pheeww.. a lot of questions .. my head is spinning :p I don't know where to start really. But although Adrift is a great tool, very forgiving and easy to use you've got to be careful not to be too optimistic, especially on your first game. Keep it small or simple... At least the first chapter. Then...

Although new to Adrift I'm fairly conversant in Quest etc. Having discovered this system, I'd quite like to start developing a Doctor Who game (i'm a big fan of the show) with each 'module' being like a TV episode. Does anyone think a) that's feasible? b) Heck, I'd like to have a play ...

Personally, for my IF I like to use pen & paper... but several coloured pens and sometimes even crayon so I can code them. I tend to make all kinds of notes and scribbles on my maps, too. I feel that paper is such an open-ended app, it's really hard to beat in terms of usefulness. How many programs...

Most of you probably already have a favorite way of mapping out your game. I used to be a paper / pencil guy but I have found this little gadget which is well worth the money: http://www.cjmweb.net/GUEmap/ A few things I’m not crazy about or maybe it’s just me, but all in all it’s a great tool for ...

Update Feb 07 – 2010 28 wip’s so far, the latest being Kronos’ ”The Merlin Bird of Prey” I think it’s quite an impressive show of interest, but we’ve yet to see how many game will actually make it. ;) I have pushed the release date on D-Day a bit forward hoping to enter the Official Spring Thing 20...
