ADRIFT on Mac

Hello! I used to make & play ADRIFT games years and years ago, and I've just found a load of unfinished and finished games on an old hard-drive. Anyone got any good solutions to running ADRIFT games on a Mac? Sorry if there's an obvious answer out there I'm not seeing. Had a little search of the for...

Re: Are you here?

I check the forum every year or so probably, when I remember. I used to be pretty heavily involved in the community I guess - I even wrote a couple of games about the forum! - and it's great to see some familiar names are still here, I really hope everyone's keeping well. Would be great to hear from...

I go for the second person, that just feels right for IF. In my opinion, typing "Open book" and reading "Dave opens the book" breaks down the realism and immersion that authors try so hard to create in their games. But yeah its a matter of taste, and ocassionally first person works... I think there...

Well done and thanks for being editor this long David... I could only manage two before I gave up :P Once v5 is out, I can see the newsletter being relaunched and having a more important function, reviews for a surge in games, articles on new features, updates and workarounds for likely bugs, etc. ...

"Teh" is in quite common usage amongst young people - lots of my friends use it in netspeak, its not just a typo. I think that if it was a ploy, then there would have been at least some attempts at a disguise :P

Rolling the Dough Gets points for a great premise, but trying to get past the dog had me grappling with the ADRIFT parser. 4. A little confusing (not sure why throwing the rolling pin out of the window made more sense than taking it outside and dropping it), but okay. Nothing really grabbed me abou...

3 Minutes to Live Game segfaulted using SCARE immediately. NaN. The beggining really captured me and i love the 'three minuets to live' header i will have to ask how Ren did that. The game impplied a complete tense/fear atmosphere and i have never been gripped by such a short game. Kudos to ren (my...

Choose Your Own Three Hour Adventure CYOs are not fun. Also at one point I ended up in an endless loop of choices. 1. Great game, i think the title clinched it :) no problems with the porgramin eiher as far as i could tell. 7. As expected, this was nicely implimented with few problems or issues. I ...
