AI Dungeon Comments

At this point I consider AI Dungeon to be an EndMaster story fanfic generator based on all the names from my stories that people say keep popping up.

AI Dungeon Comments

Since Mizal wanted my input on AI Dungeon 2... I'm calling this an indirect win for CYS (And me personally) since the designer used CYS stories (and a lot of mine) as a base for his AI and these type of results are frequent enough in AI Dungeon that they're posting about this going on: https://i.img...

Re: Textsplaining

Yeah, he pretty much acted like a douchebag to CYS during the 2014 Spring Thing, but his blog really is a treasure trove of hilarious glittering gems of hatred.

Re: Did you play Sierra on line games?

Sounds about right price for C64 in 1985 since that’s about when I got mine. I think I got my Amiga in 1989, so I think it was slightly cheaper by then, though not much cheaper. I never saw a Speccy at all over here. I didn’t even know about that computer’s popularity until decades later when I was ...

Re: Did you play Sierra on line games?

Most of the Sierra adventure games were on computers using MS-DOS, IBM PCs or an Apple computer of some sort. The Amiga 500 had most of them during their “height” as well. I don’t think any of them were on the C64. Let alone a Spectrum. They were generally pretty graphics heavy so the Amiga was a pr...

Re: IFComp 2020

David Whyld wrote: I play games for entertainment value. I don't want to play someone's rant about equality or what's "woke" right now (or whatever dumb word is the current fan favourite).
This is why I avoid that potential problem by only reading through my own stories.

Re: Did you play Sierra on line games?

Yeah, I played mostly the Leisure Suit Larry and Manhunter series though. Never got into most of their other well known series. I did get a few of their "one shot" titles too.

Played all this stuff on an Amiga 500.

Re: IntFiction's new look

If one feels inclined I think you can still dig around through the old threads and find a few protests of when one of the CoG staff came in and started implementing their guidelines to the IF site. Not sure though, I think a lot of it got deleted due to it getting pretty heated. I do remember someon...

Re: What is the ideal maze?

Yeah mazes have never been fun. One of the main problems is they feel like pointless filler which could have used towards more important things. Not IFs, but always felt Zak McKracken was a much lesser game than Maniac Mansion due to having pointless mazes. (And those were fairly simple). The soluti...
