Other tools you use?

Postby PHatDriver » Mon Nov 06, 2017 12:51 pm

Hi all,

Been looking for other tools to help plan, map, write and generally make the whole process a lot easier. I would like your views on FREE software you use or have used yourself along the lines of interactive fiction, non linear, text adventure software. Not really interested in online sites. Using notepad++ has become hard to track.

This is what I've come up with...
I have Adrift 5 (of course)

notepad++
yWriter6
TheSage
LibreOffice with Organon extension

TreeSheets
Freemind
Chat Mapper
yEd Graph Editor
The GameBook Authoring Tool

Manuskript
Neverwinter Nights Conversation Editor
Remanence, The Chosen. Expected release date: 2117!
65+kb and sill to finish part one! <- Nightmare
Carbide 100R window - XFX 750 Black - Asus Z170 AURA - i5 6600k
RX480 Saphire Nitro+ - Vengeance 2x8gb - Crucial MX300. [No OC]

I use Trizbort for mapping my game and I find it extremely helpful. http://www.trizbort.com/
As for writing text I use Open Office. It works pretty much the same way as Microsoft Word. https://www.openoffice.org/download/
Oh, and sometimes even pencil and paper.
D-Day V.5 in progress 79Kb so far (slowly getting there)
Anno 1700 in progress 111Kb
