OK, thanks Denk. I have now created a new post with the game images in it and have copied the new links into each adventure page.

Can anyone tell me if the images now show? They do for me, but they did anyway before Lumin told me that they were missing.

I'm not sure I really approve of the way this thread is going. People making intelligent posts and being helpful to each other? Working together to solve problems? Perish the thought!

It should be me and Lazzah making sarcastic comments to each other, going horribly off topic and neither side admitting the other might have a good point.

What is the world coming to? :)

And for all the folk posting in this thread who aren't me or Lazzah: bugger off! Find your own thread! We're here to bicker and complain and we can't do that with others stepping in and being all helpful and nice!

:)

I'll agree to leave if and only if the title is changed to David & Larry THUNDERDOME. Also, the two of you then have to defend the purity of your favored ADRIFT version by writing a game in which you fight to the death in (dis)honorable combat.

David's game must be written in v5, Larry's in v4.

Pardon me for bugging in.. But I was actually thinking exactly the same thing.
For a thread that's limited to David and Larry... This sure has a lot of "intruders" so get the H*** out of here! Lean back and enjoy the show

How about it David? I'm game if you are!!!!

Maybe it needn't be a game where we kick the s**t out of each other but I am willing to write a small game (minimum 10 locations?) using v4 if you do the same in v5.

Whispering from the wing: I'm not here, but this is too good to miss.

Rules:
Participants: 2 (Larry & David)
David writes in V.5 / Larry writes in V.4
Locations: 10

Suggestions for the theme (both of them having equal chance) ?

Deadline two months from launching the "Thunderdome" competition ?

Missing anything?

All in favour say: Aye!

Oii! Excuse me, but I will probably need a bit longer than two months as I have never ever used v4 before, whereas I think David has at least experimented with v5. :)

Also, I am currently working on my latest v5 game "Magnetic Moon" AND I hope to be doing the final de-bug of "Run, Bronywynn, Run!" if the playtester gets his finger out! PLUS things are going to get busier at work in the lead-up to Christmas, so my spare time will be limited.

Besides, David hasn't excepted my challenge yet, he might be chicken! :haha:

On the one hand: Lazzah has an unfair advantage because v4 is a lot quicker and easier to use*. On the other: if it gets him to at least try out v4, I'm game. I've tried out v5 quite a few times over the years and while I don't like it much, I think I've got it figured out enough to write a simple game.

* See? I'm still making cutting comments even now!

OK! the scene is set.. I've making a topic called Thunderdome under competitions.
All further chat concerning this subject should take place there.
In the mean time Larry and David, you are more than welcome to chew each other's butts out here.

We, uh, should probably leave that to the adult section of the forum.

Just sayin' :)
