Player name changing like never before..

At the start of my game i have two questions for the player, which gender do they want to choose and name they want for their PC. That all works fine. Output works correctly.

Later on i have a task where a numeric password has to be entered into a keypad and when the task passes i have some a few paragraphs displaying with %ProperName[%Player%]% in it, and instead of displaying the earlier chosen name of PC by player, (which did correctly display earlier in the game) now it has been changed the name to the command used for said task...how on earth did that happen :?

Also while on the topic of gender, how can i have at the end of a sentence "he/she said.." depending on which case of gender it is, rather than having to use the PC name all the time?

The %CharacterName[key]% function should substitute he/she (subjective) pronouns (see wiki).

Thanks for that. But any ideas why a player chosen name which becomes the PC name is then replaced by a task command that was entered into runner?

Post a demo? You may have formulated your player input task wrong (which would be my guess if the name the player puts in never shows up but the name of the task that was run does). Still, sounds strange.
