Tracking player movement?

Postby billy 7720 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 1:00 am

Still trying to figure out HOW to keep track of player movement. I thought it used to be %moves% or something like that but it doesn't work.

Any ideas? Trying to finish Crystal Caverns (which still needs a bit of work) and I need this for scoring.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks! :x

Hi there Billy i believe it is %turns% is what you are wanting, the built in turn counter.

%Turns% is a system command. How do I change that to make it the way I want? Help is appreciated. Thanks!

Do you want to count just the turns on which the player has done some sort of movement? If so, you'll have to count that yourself.

I think something like this will work:
- Create a variable "%moves%" or similar
- Uncheck the "hide system tasks" / "hide library tasks" option.
- Find the "go %direction%" task
- Add a task action to it that increments %moves%.

Interesting. Thank you. Now to fix the bloody gate and front door to work properly. Those are my next tasks. I want to get this game done for everyone to enjoy.
