The day before was a wild storm followed by a 17 hour power blackout so I had to start the day without a coffee, but it was all uphill from there as it was a good excuse to go out to a bakery cafe in the nearest town for morning tea. I have to wait till Sunday for the proper party and presents though.

You'll be pleased to know that your birthday storm has reached Sydney, bringing with it a monstrous dust cloud, strong winds and some rain to turn the dust into mud.
