Been getting weird dreams lately

Postby vickyperkin » Sun Jun 09, 2019 10:37 am

I'm not sure if this is related to me making a horror IF or me thinking too much about the next plot i would do in adrift while i'm sleeping.

I was like, in my dream for 3 hours?
school, yeah school. The unusual thing is the teachers giving us homeworks on playing IF games. Like playing "Hitler's Holocaust" in IF or Playing "Romeo and Juliet" for the preparation of our book report. My classmates were not so strange though. on a class of 40, only 5 of them, including me, has background knowledge on what IF is. when our teachers gave the IF homeworks they were like "Whats that? has anyone ever done that before?"

truthfully saying thats all i remember. Its quite hard to remember what happened in dreams.

From what i think, our future storybooks and history books will be replaced with IF adventures!
I'm looking forward to it.

Definitely! I know I wouldn't have learned nearly as much about The Oregon Trail without the game. Remember Odell Lake by chance? OK, OK, not exactly IF in the strictest sense, but phew! Memories.

Games in the classroom are thankfully more common, but they could stand to become more of a standard. At least in the U.S., that depends in a lot of places on funding catching up to some extent. Also teachers and curriculum, et cetera. But hey, any steps toward it are good steps, IMO.

What sort of horror IF are you writing? Feel free to elaborate more in a WIP thread.

And welcome to the ADRIFT Forum. Have fun! We're here for ya.
