Campbell, is there a way (or could there be a way) to access portions of the current date within a game, say with variables like %month% %day% %year% or %shortmonth% or %longmonth% if we wanted them represented as say "Nov" or "November". I don't mean the "date" or "time" command, I mean like having these usable by the programmer.

Some programs (such as MS Word or Excel) have formats like %dd% or %mmm%. I don't think it would be hard to implement, because most development environments have such features already, it would just be another system variable.

Without giving too much away, my idea is to have rooms that might be different based on the real current date (or whatever your computer clock is set to).
