I know David was complaining about being stuck on a couple of old TA, and I'm sure several others are as well(first forum I've been to in a while that made me feel like one of the youngest...). Still, if it's a C-64 game, I found several solutions here : C-64 Solutions Website

Actually, most of the old games I was stuck on I've since managed to finish due to sheer skill, ingenuity and persistence. Oh, and this website was quite handy, too:
