2019 Ectocomp?

Postby Lumin » Sun Oct 13, 2019 1:15 am

Oct 27th - Oct 31st

Who will be entering?

This is the first time I've really paid any attention to it since it stopped being our contest, but it's such a simple thing as far as time commitment and it's one more way to get ADRIFT games out there and remind people they exist. Added to that, we can do a lot more in four hours than people using Inform can, and this would be the time to prove it.

I might enter a pretty experimental game I've been wanting to make for a while. Just depends if I get four free hours...

Do they still have the time limit?

There's a category with a four hour limit, and then one for anything over that.

Do me a favour and write when you have entered your game into the comp, so I can award you your well deserved points. :yeah:

I've entered "Be There!" into Ectocomp 2019:
http://www.adrift.co/game/1532

It's a slice of life/cosmic horror sorta thing. Ya know...one of those...set in minneapolis.

Keep in mind this was made for their "petite mort" category where one designs the whole game in 4 hours. It's therefore rather sparse and a little rough, because I wanted to implement as many rooms as possible.
