Sweet! It's kinda more fun playing new contest entry stuff than selecting a game from a long list of archived games like I've been doing off and on over the years. Can't wait to play all your games!

I don't think age should be a relevant factor; a game ought to be judged on its own merits and not who wrote it.
True, either something sucks or it doesn't. On the other hand when I first started drawing and entering local comic book store drawing contests in 3rd grade, if the judge said "this is terrible- the artist doesn't even know where the deltoid meets the back", I'd have been shattered and discouraged.
Thankfully they were very nice and encouraging...and a couple times gave me undeserved small prizes. Now I do art for a living...

<< 2 endings
2 minimum? Is it OK if I have 3?
And someone asked me if getting the player killed was to be considered an ending... it's not...

* 5 objects that is essential for solving the game
Should have asked this sooner, but... does this mean objects that need to be found to solve the game? Or does that include objects in the possession of the player at the start of the game?
Officially and Fully Released:
The Fly Human (v.4) - 2010
Brain Dead Weekend (v.4) - 2011
The Fly Human (v.4) - 2010
Brain Dead Weekend (v.4) - 2011
The player can either carry or wear the objects at the beginning of the game. Or you can spread them out through the game if you prefer.Hensman Int'l wrote:Should have asked this sooner, but... does this mean objects that need to be found to solve the game? 5 Active objects....Hensman Int'l wrote:Oy vey! Let's try the question again, but in detail...
Is the challenge saying ONLY 5 Active objects?
What about containers? Static objects? Red herrings?
Meaning objects needed to solve the adventure.
You can have as many other objects as you wish, such as red herrings etc.
One of the rules in IF is that every object described in a location should be examinable. So it would be wrong to include those in the 5 objects.
If you have a container that is essential for the solving of the game, that container would be considered one of the 5 "active" objects.
