V.5 Intro Comp. the Games

Postby Po. Prune » Sun Sep 16, 2012 8:17 pm

Ok, There are 6 games in the competition, and it's time to play and vote.
I meant to have people vote in two separate polls; One for the game and one for the Intro. But I can't figure out how to do that.
So it's just one vote for both.
You have till Saturday September 29 so don't hesitate to vote.

6 games in 2-3 days seems a bit steep, even if they are only intros.

As for the voting, why not bother with a poll at all but instead have people e-mail you their vote?

They are short games... and you have a whole week to play and decide... Is that too much?
As for people emailing me their vote, I thought of that. But I thought it would be nice to follow the progress here.

A whole week? Your post says 17-18 September, which is tomorrow or the day after. That's 3 days max, assuming you count today as day 1.

Wow, I'm really excited and I can't wait to see the results! Already starting on one of the games. Good luck everyone! :A

Can you upload to the Adventures page (as a zipped compilation and as TAFs) so the games can be played online, and also so the awards can be assigned to the winners at the end.

The entries has now been uploaded to the adventure page. (thanks to Campbell  )
You can either download the zip file or each intro individually.
Reviews are highly appreciated...

I've played through the games. I'd like to submit a tie vote for the poll. Po., you're the organizer. How would you suggest I do that?

Ouch!
Never thought that there would be a tie.
If anyone has a tie between two games. vote for one and send me a pm with teh name of the other. Both will be counted.

After our chat, I think I'll give it a little more deliberation and see if one or the other doesn't come out on top. But it's basically between two games for me.

Can authors vote?

Absolutely!
There's no way of checking if they vote for them selves anyway, so I can't see why they should be excluded.

Is there a list somewhere of who wrote which game? Some of the games list the author's name but some don't, meaning I don't have a clue who wrote them. And is "Intro_CompVB1" really the game's title? If so, it's certainly an odd name.
