5.0.29 out now!

ADRIFT 5 release 29 is now available for download. There are two Windows downloads available. If you have not tried v5 yet, the easiest way is to download the full setup from http://www.adrift.co/files/ADRIFT5Setup.zip. If you already have a working version, you can download the files only version from http://www.adrift.co/files/ADRIFT5.zip and overwrite your existing files. (I'll try to get an auto-update working soon!) Please note that the Setup download from download.com may take a few days to update with the latest version, so you may want to use the mirror link.

I have detailed the enhancements over on the News page.

I know that Lazzah wanted specific tasks to default to "Prevent this task from being inherited" so that they would not clutter up the list of tasks that can be inherited from, but there now does not seem to be any way to create a specific task from another specific task if you do need to.

The "Prevent this task from being inherited" box is not only disabled, its not even ticked, and I can't see anything in settings or options, so how do you turn it off?

saabie, AFAIK Campbell hasn't implemented this yet! The request is still there:

Aaarggh it was just the particular tasks I happened to be working on after upgrading. :x

I had a specific task which was already specific to all of its references and tried to override it with a specific task that used restrictions to make something different happen when the player was carrying a certain object.
It looks like ADRIFT only lets you override a specific task if it has free references.

I found a way around this, I just made two sibling specific tasks with identical specific references and gave them opposite restrictions, so everything works now!
