The House with Ten Basements

Postby The0didactus » Fri May 03, 2019 10:45 pm

My Wife Katherine has been slowly working on the text for a future game for a while now. Today she decided to make in adrift. It is very secret, and I expect very few previews will be posted here (I'll leave that up to her). It might be ready in time for IFCOMP but otherwise it'll make a good spring thing submission.

The only things I'll tell you are:
* It's about an autistic woman that inherits a house from her aunt
* The name should reveal at least one other salient detail
* she decided on adrift because it's an easy system for making a ton of dynamic objects

Ooh! I bet the house has something crazy going on with the attic.

Like perhaps there are ten attics, because there are ten houses all co-existing in the same space? hmmm..

I like that idea for the game.

Yeah well this one's the opposite so you better like that too.

Anyway, we're at 41 rooms, 29kb. This shows every sign of being a standard puzzler based around finding and applying objects. The atmosphere is utterly bizarre. She insists on having it ready for IFCOMP this year so that means....four adrift games this year? five?

Let's wait and see…
If my counting is correct and all games enter we should have 6 Adrift entries this year (I'm working on one too.)
D-Day in progress 86Kb (Slowly drifting)
Just a Fairy Tale: 70Kb
