Elaborating a bit on the ideas we discussed in the Ectocomp 2009 posting, would it be advantageous to have a judge-approved template specifically for competitions? I am thinking of a pre-created file or module that contestants would be required to use in order to level the playing field. It would include just enough information that it wouldn't impede creative ability.

A hypothetical template might include:

* Preset list of synonyms
* Preset options (compass, perspective, disable/enable, etc.)
* Introduction amendment describing the contest
* Maximum allowable rooms, objects, tasks, or characters

These are just suggestions.

On a separate but related idea, would anyone enjoy the idea of creating a "Mad Libs" style competition? Imagine a competition that comes with a pre-made theme or story, and all the entrant has to do is use their own imagination to fill in the supplied gaps.

I made a sample idea file that I was going to attach to this post, but I just realized I can't do that! So I'm going to PM it to Duncan, and let him decide what to do with it.
The mind boggles...
