I've just uploaded the new version of Goldilocks is a FOX! I've done a huge amount of work on this game since the minicomp (thanks to Nick Hamoud for his very helpful comments) so anyone who's played the minicomp version should give this one a go.

Goldilocks is my first effort at creating a game with Adrift and my first text adventure for more than ten years. If you have any comments or suggestions please let me know!

And now I'll get back to working on my new game...

Heh heh heh.
Take dynamite
You're not holding the eletric toaster.

OK, I agree with why people are not entering the IFcomp with their games.
Adrift is bug-ridden at the moment.
It took me 7 goes of trying to get the dress off.
agfjaklgjalkg dress afjaksldgjla remove afadg
Was how I did it first.
Managed to get it down to "dress remove *"
dress remove *
will get rid of the dress

Weird, how did you work that out?
Thanks for the bug tip.

That "take dynamite" bug just shouldn't happen as there is a task restriction on it. The restriction isn't kicking in. I'll remove the task.

Matt, I've corrected the .taf. My mistake. Any idea how I replace the .taf on the downloads page?

Done! So much for the one, last minute little change I made before uploading to tidy up a small detail. It shall be a lesson to me! I tested the game a thousand times before I did that, so it should work fine now.

Done?
So you figured out under edit the details, there is a button which allows you to update the file.
I'll re-download the game.
Weird enough, I could "take dynamite" when I used the control panel.
I wonder if I can still get dress off.
Probably.
The only real foolproof method is bad technique.

Hmmm. Updating files on the download page doesn't seem to work. I had to delete the file and then replace it. Still, done now.

Oh, I didn't make the changes to the dress task yet. I think it rather unlikely that people will go to the lengths you have to get it off in the first place, but I will make the changes eventually. This is why I wanted a tutorial on blocking system commands, preferably by Campbell himself so we can be absolutely sure of blocking every single input. And I didn't forget the password, did I?

On the downloads page, click question mark, don't type anything just click the question mark and click enter, and you get the details.

Well, there's one now.

Yeah, blocking system commands is incredibly hard if you want to do it completely.
If you want to make irremovable clothes you can use a very bad technique of;
ALR
You drop/remove the dress|I don't think so.
TASK
Input "*"
Restriction "Dress not being worn"
Action "Move dress to being worn"
But that is incredibly bad technique, so I never use "*" tasks.
I try not to over-ride system commands either, but I do sometimes because I have to, but even then only when if it doesn't pick up the players command, there isn't a problem.
east
There is a cliff in the way.
adjfgaldgjkl go asdgjlkdgj e asjdkajdlgjadlgj
You can't go in that direction.

I am a rigurous, evil, cunning, dirty, back-stabbing beta-tester.
