I'm trying to create short scenes using ascii art for ADRIFT. I'm typing the following:

<wait .1>
<cls>
text

...and I repeat until I get my desired scene. When I play it on Runner, it would work, but between each frame of the scene would be a short bit of nothing, right before the text would appear. Is this natural to ADRIFT Runner, or is it because of my computer's inability to quickly load? I suspect the latter (I believe that's the correct term), but I just want to be sure.

I think that's just how it goes. Motion was basically like that... movements have a sort of choppy look to them. I think this has to do with a 0.1 second pause is as fast as you can tell ADRIFT to change the screen.

Yep. It can pull it off, but more like a series of snapshots than a fluid scene. Oh, and watch the length if you do try it... If it occupies too many lines, it won't display right, and people might even have the prompt to press a key to continue between each bit when you want it to be automatic. I kept it to about 30 lines displaying at a time, but one person said it didn't work right on their screen (in full screen), so I guess maybe... mm... 20-25 or less (?) lines on screen at a time would be safer if you're going for the 0.1 second delay.

No worry's. I'm made sure that the font was small and the amount of lines was minimal. The blank pause in between seems to decrease if I raise the runner's priority to high, but it still comes out a tad choppy. Thank's though.
