When you say you installed it, did you run the setup.exe program? This should extract the CAB file which contains the above OCX file and put it in the same directory as gen400.exe.

yes I run the setup.exe
so i look in the adrift folder in program files after the install and notice that none of the dll's and the said file get placed in the install folder, only text files and executables.

Must be some bloody windows 7 admin rights issue.

I'm working on it,thanks for the reply.

That file the computer errors on is an active-x control.
I might need to update my driver or something.

I manually extracted the files that did not move to the destination dir like there supposed to but that didn't help either.

Something to do with active-x conrols on windows 7 maybe.

Where are you installing to? Windows 7 will move things around if you're trying to install to a protected area.

I'm also running ADRIFT 4 on an Acer machine with Windows 7. I ran into some problems until I moved the ADRIFT folder out of the Program Files section straight into C:\ADRIFT. Don't know if that's the solution to your problem, but that's how I fixed mine.

hm no that didn't help.
I can run the exe without admin permissions and it works but then i cant register the program.
The error only happens if i run with admin permissions.

Are you right clicking on exe and selecting "Run as Administrator"?
