Hello there.
I am totally blind and I use a text to speech program that reads out loud what is on the screen, called jaws for windows. It's quite good at what it does, but it isn't perfect.
I prefer chatting on mirc rather than using a java applet, and I find your irc applet hard to use with my screen reader program. Is there a way I can connect to the adrift chat channel using mirc?
Thanks.

If you add web.ircstorm.net to your mIRC as a server to connect to, and join the channel #ADRIFT, you'll be in the ADRIFT channel through mIRC.
