New Forum

I have moved the forum over to a new server. I have taken this opportunity to convert it from Ikonboard to phpBB which is being actively supported.

Unfortunately the conversion isn't 100% and so the passwords did not convert. Your existing account should be in place however, so please use the password request facility to reactivate your account.

I apologise for the inconvenience.

There may well be bits and bobs that don't quite work as they should. Please be patient whilst we sort these out, and feel free to let us know of any issues.

By the way, this forum is much more customisable than the old one, and there are many different styles to choose from (see your User Control Panel > Board Preferences > My board style)

I've installed a few different ones to choose from. However, the whole list is here if there are any you would like me to install.

Originally, yes. Then I moved it onto our work network, but they've been squeezing the machine resources a bit (it's a virtual server).

So now it's on a commerical server, so uptime and performance should be much improved.

Apologies for the short downtime. I had to have the server completely rebuilt, so had to backup everything and restore. Hopefully working again now...

After the downtime I'm now having to keep logging in everytime I load up my Firefox browser, even though I've ticked "Log me in each visit..."

There's no link to the chat on the new forum...I didn't really pay attention until Campbell, MikeDesert and Po. Prune and myself were all online at once...AND NOT CHATTING.

EDIT: KFAdrift too. Forgot about him. (don't ban me)

Talking of which have you a plan for when the new EU law comes into effect soon that means websites must get explicit permission before using cookies? Should be nice and irritating.

Any chance you can change the icons for "Unread posts"? Very pale red as opposed to very pale pink doesn't stand out very much.
