Game Archive TAF or ZIP

Postby rotter » Thu Sep 20, 2012 12:15 pm

Most of my games have been uploaded into the game archive as ZIP files, as I usually include others things with my games - map, readme etc. Obviously you can't play a ZIP. So, what is the best way forward, reload all my games as TAF leaving the ZIP? So, end up with two versions of my games. Or, get the ZIP files removed and just upload the TAF?

I've been wondering about that too. I guess the best thing would be to allow supporting files to be uploaded. So either have a ZIP file with everything, plus the TAF, or the TAF plus each individual supporting file. Needs a bit of work my end though.

Why not a BLORB ?
The map image and readme can be included as part of the game.

Well that's true, I could allow supporting files to be embedded that way. Will need a bit more thought...
