Spelling question

Postby P/o Prune » Fri Apr 28, 2017 3:11 pm

How do you spell the word Canon (meaning gun) is it with one or two n's?
When I write the description using Word, it accepts both ways of spelling.

Cannon is the gun.

Canon means something which is correct according to lore.

A CANON is also the title of a cleric who can have various roles in a cathedral and is therefore bound by the "canon" laws of that cathedral.
