My first adventure
I've just come across this game, I think probably the first full game I wrote (1991-92), on the Amiga. Who wants me to convert it to ADRIFT, for a laugh?

Re: My first adventure
If you do, I hope you get rid of the blue on black text as it is almost unreadable. (I'm surprised that Lazzah didn't mention it.)
There's also an unnecessary comma after 'You wake up' and a missing apostrophe in 'someones'. (should be someone's)
However, given the age of the game and by extrapolation, your age at the time of writing, I guess you're forgiven.

Heh, yes, I noticed those. I would be correcting grammar/spelling mistakes.

I was going to, but I didn't want to give the impression that I have become a grumpy old git!R2T1 wrote:If you do, I hope you get rid of the blue on black text as it is almost unreadable. (I'm surprised that Lazzah didn't mention it.)

Re: My first adventure
Convert it, but just to ADRIFT 2 so it will retain that retro feel.

Re: My first adventure
Ha ha, nice thought Lumin. I don't think ADRIFT 2 would be up to the job however.

Re: My first adventure
Instead of a straight conversion, why not write it up as a tutorial to show how a V5 adventure is put together?

You must be mistaking me for someone who has lots of time on his hands.

And you must be mistaking me for someone who wasn't just offering a suggestion.
