New Website

Post by Lazzah »

Hi all,

As I was running out of space in my signature to list my ADRIFT games, I decided to create a website. Please visit at http://LarrysAdriftTextAdventures.co.uk

Any feedback would be most welcome!

It looks very professional, well done!

It is probably because it is a new website, but it is very difficult to find via google. If I for instance type:
larry horsfield adrift

I get 231000 hits but the page is not on the first many pages (perhaps not at all?). If I instead type:
"adrift text adventures" (use quotation marks to force Google to use the exact sentence)
Then your page is on top.

I don't know much about search engine optimization but when it has been online for some time, you could consider looking into it.

If you link to it from many other places, it should slowly climb up the "ladder".

Thanks, I used a web-hosting site called SITE123, a bit expensive compared to others but I was amazed at how easy and quick it was to create the pages, I created the site in about 1 day. I did want a visit counter and a visitor's book but they only come with the "professional plan" which is more than twice the cost of the basic plan - do these people think we're made of money!? :haha:

A thought: I just realised I didn't include the two small games I wrote for competitions: Beagle 2 and The Garden Party, back to the editor!

I'll definitely check out your new site. Sorry it's been a few years since I posted here. I hope all my Adrift friends are doing well!
