examine - look

Post by highways »

I am having a problem trying to differentiate between examine and look as they both do the same job.
i.e. i can [examine] a drawer and i can [look] at a drawer and in both cases the screen will show the definition of that drawer. (e.g. it is made of wood).
I have a task to look inside the drawer; however If i go to [look] IN the drawer i get the same result as above. The same applies if i go to [look] ON an object.

It would appear that the system is looking at the 'look', deciding it means 'examine' and takes no notice of the IN/ON in the task. I have tried using [*in*drawer] to no effect. I do not have a synonym for examine/look.

Totally confused and cannot see what i am doing wrong. Please help.

Did you make your task repeatable? The above should work, as far as I can tell. You could always post an example if you can't get it to work.

Yes. I have created a little game which incorporates the above and it works. Therefore the problem is not your system (where we are so eager to put the blame) but somewhere within my game. Being retired does have it's benefits.....

I'm sure we will get there one day Campbell.
